Rules

There won't be a ton of rules as this will a winter version of the Ragnarök. But... because no race or ride is complete without at least some guidelines. As this is a figment of my imagination right now these are very subject to change. I'll make some comments on these as I go... (in red):

1) You will be responsible for yourself ! (the standard... but maybe not reasonable on snowmobile trails... harumph... am I thwarted before I began? I'll keep going, but this will be something to mull over... I am guessing this rule will have to be removed or at least revised)

2) Forward WHITE blinky lights, and Read RED blinky lights must be operational and on at all times you are in motion. (right now I think I would try and keep to a planned daytime race but may require some better headlights for either an early start or late finish depending)

3) You need to wear a helmet at all times you are in motion. This needn't be a biking specific helmet as I've found snowboarding/skiing helmets to work well in the winter... up to you. I'd even be cool with hockey or football for that matter.

4) Be prepared to bike 20-30 miles between checkpoints. At the checkpoints we may provide water/hot chocolate or something. I need to figure this out...

5) Be prepared for anything Winter can throw at you! It may be -20 degrees F... it might be raining...
